Description of work: Restoration and preservation of historic building exterior in the Historic Mapleton District in Boulder Colorado and remodel of interior spaces in a modern style with strong underlying reminders of the 100 year old roots below.
The new structure improvements include a continuous concrete bond beam on West and East sides to unify the old brick structure, which was fragile and had a high probability of future failure; modern HVAC systems including radiant floor heating and Mitsubishi split-system air conditioning units for upper and lower levels; state-of-the-art insulation systems including stress skin panel roofing system and blow-in blanket wall insulation; updated plumbing; new flooring using antique reclaimed oak wide plank flooring; German kitchen technology and cabinets by SieMatic; and bathroom fixtures by Duravit and Philippe Stark; and a 1900's industrial style inspired 6' x 8' skylight in the middle of the space.
